I was like that was the best ever like I had psyched energy, high motivation. And then I sat down yesterday and listen to it. And ah, gosh, I was like yeah, that didn't feel authentic at all. I think I was like hyped up I had listened to some podcasts. And they were like super high vibe women and high energy and I kind of like transformed and like took on their their own authenticity. But it didn't really very well. So I did some meditation and some grounding practices and and then I recorded it on my phone. So I just want to mention that because it's the the audio quality isn't as epic as it has been. But it will be fine. But I just wanted to mention that. But yeah, it's like, an interesting lesson for me is just like making sure that I'm showing up authentically for all of you. And I think that's all we can do as a community is just be as truthful and centered and our own individuality our own uniqueness. And we all have our own strengths and our own personality. And I'm still learning mine. I'm still learning to stand in my own truth. And I think it's a process right? It's, it's definitely a journey to go through that. And I'm not sure if I ever will just like get to some perfect place where I'm just all up in my truth all the time. But yeah, we'll see. We'll see what happens. But this podcast is definitely a really good push. If you guys want to start a business, let me tell you it's it's personal growth 100% you will learn more about yourself than anything else. So you want to do that reach out to me, we can chat about it. But this episode is, yeah, it really is my my heart speaking and I hope you really enjoy it. It brings some perspective on why we have body struggles and why it's such a beautiful opportunity to show it as a gift in our life. And I also want to mention, after you take a listen, there will be a link in the show notes for the feedback form. Please let me know what's resonating. I want to be in my own authentic truth. But I also want to know what direction that you need me and what let you really Liking and what's not maybe working out so much. And that honestly, that feedback is gonna be so freakin invaluable for me, or I've already had four people fill it out. And that's awesome. Awesome. So thank you so much. And yeah, so I'll have that link in the show notes. And also a gift that you can give yourself honestly, showing up and like showing up for your body and just like showing, like, Hey, this is what's like, I'm really like giving me good energy. This is really resonating. And this isn't so much. And this is what I'd like to change, like, knowing that is really showing up for yourself and just kind of taking that one step and like, hey, I want better for myself. So give that gift to yourself, give that gift to me, and it will be the best epic week ever. No, just kidding. Probably won't make or break the week, but it will definitely make an imprint, both of us. So let's do that. And then yeah, let's just get into it. Let's dive into the episode, we at the end, I get into a really great technique called rain by Tara Brock, if you've heard of it, I go into that, so so so great. So make sure to listen. So sit back, enjoy and take a listen. Hi everyone. Today, I want to explain what I when I say your body is a gift. And your struggles, your body struggles are also a gift. I think it's also important to note that there's a reason you are here. And you may feel like you're in a place that feels trapped, or maybe tunnel vision or stuckness something that you just don't know that, that something's wrong, and you just really don't know what it is and trying to move through it. And your body struggle is showing up in a way that just adds more fear and more pain. And it's kind of like an overall uncomfortableness. I bet like if you have pain, direct pain somewhere, I bet you also have kind of kind of this overall uncomfortable feeling in your body. And that makes sense because pain will manifest in certain places in our body. And, and but also we know arises from kind of this overall, uncomfortable in our own skin. And it's a gift because it's telling you that something isn't working. And it's an opportunity for you to really see that you need to change. And it's like your body is communicating to you. In the body, and Western society is just kind of this vehicle. And sometimes we don't necessarily see as a teacher of like, our soul teaching us that our soul is out of place. And our spirit is not in alignment. And so common just to add more of that control and more fear and more pain and judgment when we're in that cycle of struggle. And I truly believe that you are here because you are ready to move out of that cycle. And it's you're no longer wanting to be in that place. You're no longer wanting to find happiness in social media and being caught up in some sort of ideal or, you know, deep down you really know that you don't want to just always be trying to lose weight. And there might be a heightened intention out of the weight loss that you haven't quite realized. That is completely pletely separate from the actual weight loss. So you might really want to just like live in purpose, you might really just want to expand the possibilities of your life and really fully be in your uniqueness. But we often attach all of those really beautiful intentions on to trying to lose weight. But you're here because you know that you're, you know, you're it's limiting your life. And maybe you've gotten to a point where you realize that this intention of mine really is in aligning with my actions. And so the struggle, the uncomfortableness, the pain, whatever you're going through, I want you to know that your intentions in your heart, your heart is not in the wrong place. Never, never is it in the wrong place. And it's a beautiful gift to show you that. The struggles are here to show you that your heart and where your real intentions and your love. And that essence that lives within you is being directed in a way that through your life is not aligning. And so you're here because something within you really knows this to be true. And you really do want to change, and you have been guided to me. So that we can we can get you back into alignment and the struggles, yes, like moving past the struggles. You don't want to be in that pain anymore. I get it, I don't either. I experience back pain and days, uncommon uncomfortableness in my body. And it used to be every day. And I used to really feel detached from and dissociated from my body, even though the control was so wrapped up in it. Even though that was really my point of focus, it was there was underneath at all, there was really this large detachment. And I'm still on my healing journey. But I have to move past the insecurity and the fear of, I can't show up because I haven't completely healed, I still experienced pain in my body, I still have days where I'm up, and then I'm down. And I still have days where I really feel out of whack and out of alignment, and completely flustered by my overthinking and people pleasing. And I have to put all of that aside and realize that there is no point of perfection. And if I really want to serve in the best way possible, maybe being in the healing process, too, is can be really profound place and makes me feel more connected to the people I'm serving. I also believe that when certain struggles pop up, and I'm in a mode of teaching, there's a reason for it. It's a reason to be sharing and, and so this like mentality that we need to be at this perfect place to be helping and serving in this world. I just like I want to be an example that that doesn't need to be true. You can always show up. In so much beauty and so much help to others. Even if you yourself don't feel like you're in some sort of, like, amazing place or not. None of us are right, we're all living the human experience. And we all have that little self, the ego and not in a bad way because the ego is here so we can really be here on Earth as a human experiencing life and live it through our senses. That's like the that's that's all we always share that connection and that actually brings us closer together, it makes us feel connected. And it helps us feel less alone, when we can share that we're struggling, and this is what we're working on. And this is how I move past it. And we're all just trying to kind of push past our own limiting barriers and understand what's trying to guide us and, and being able to look at our struggles in that way, as an opportunity to learn is really actually awesome, right? It's a gift. Like, if we didn't have that struggle, it's popping up for a reason, if we didn't have that struggle, we wouldn't have the opportunity to heal from from what's really it within ourselves that we need to move past. Like, if I, if I didn't, with a podcast, at the beginning, if I didn't go through the struggle of feeling really unsure and didn't have a ton of clarity and just kind of was trying to put one step in front of the other. And if I hadn't had that struggle, then I wouldn't ever realize what I needed to really move through. And that was connecting to my own internal confidence. And what it even is that and what is even authentic Katy, and without getting wrapped up and trying to emulate everybody else that I really admire. But if I hadn't had that struggle, I wouldn't have been able to get to a place where I feel like inch by inch, I am getting into a better place that I can serve in the most authentic way to me, and also the most authentic way to my listeners. And so just an example. But the body can be a really profound struggle because we're in our bodies every day. And we got to live with them every day. And if it's really showing you some point of pain, of control of obsession of judgment, of negativity, all of these things, any kind of resistance is going to show you big or small, is going to show you something that internally within within yourself within your spirit that you need to heal from, and it's a gift to be able to know this. So that's the journey and I guess like sharing my own experience. I want to share that I just you know I said I'm in pain and my you know, I experienced back pain every day and and I have but it's not like I'm clear like I'm I know I'm still healing. This episode is awesome. But before we keep going, let's take a moment to thank our sponsors. This episode is brought to you by body breaking free morning meditation. So make sure you fill out that form and get this meditation for free as our Thank you. So let's get back to the episode. And at this point, all I can do is surrender to my highest self. All I can do is I surrender to the universe and to guidance outside of what I can control. And I also know that there's pain coming out of a place of fear and protection and kind of unraveling maybe it's some unworthiness, feeling like, I don't belong. Like if I speak my truth, then the people in my life will Completely disown me. You know, it's just like I giggle because it's like sometimes you just kind of have to laugh at, like these deeper wounds that we've carried around for so long that you might not even realize are there. Right? So like, I'm just saying this because these are things maybe, you know, I haven't fully understood. And that's okay, it's okay to not fully know, we want to, if you're anything like me, and you really want to know, and maybe you're up in your head a lot, and you're thinking it over and trying to analyze and like this, like ton of control over it, because you know, you want to feel better, you want to feel better fast. And I get that mentality. And maybe letting go of some of that will even be more of a release than you thought. Try it on, you know, try it on and see if you can really surrender to letting go of the control around whatever you're struggling with. And I know it's really hard if you're feeling uncomfortable in your body, and you're like, Oh my gosh, like I can't just let go like, what if I eat too much, or what if I eat Oh, gosh, like don't go to the exercise class. And there's so much fear that can be brought up. And that's good. Like, just be aware of the fear. The first step in any kind of healing process is bringing that awareness and bringing that awareness with lots of compassion, and a lot of non judgment on yourself. And so I like to always think of just like being like, really curious. penna from this higher self standpoint, this, like your higher self is, so it's that part of you that is just so full of love, it's that essence, it's that soul, it's that spirit. So if you can kind of imagine and it's so funny Lately, I've been thinking of my higher self, I just imagine, like this area right above my head kind of floating in space. And when I, you know, need her compassion, when I need my higher self compassion, I think about like, I kind of look like my energy kind of goes as energy. Like, I can't look directly above my head, right? But I imagine that space above my head, and I just kind of feel my body, let it trickle down from my head all the way to my toes. And I kind of let this like compassion and light take over when I need her, and I need her guidance. And just I need just, I just need some sort of, you know, feel good energy. And I come from a place of curiosity and non judgement. And from that place, I can kind of just allow my fears to show up. That is the first step. And so when I'm saying like, I don't know, like it could be unworthiness, it could be feeling like my truth isn't valid feeling like bla bla bla bla bla. It's just in the process for me right now is just being aware, like allowing it to be there. I have shoved it down for so long. It's stuck in my body, and it's really showing up in like, my back pain, and it's manifested there. And so I need to give myself a little grace, and just be here to be aware. And when it does come up, and sometimes it comes up in a feeling of getting like pulled down, or a feeling of anger. I just say I'm here. I'm here and I'm listening. And you know, when you're ready, when you're ready to show me I'll be here and having that openness, like not putting any pressure just Hey, like I know you've been hurt. And I know this is really painful and I know it's been shoved down for so long and really feel that pain in my body and I understand like it really it this is really hard. And I kind of talk to the pain like I you know, I'm here I'm listening. And I'll be here. I'm not you know, it's, I'm not running away anymore. This time, it's I'm here for you. So that's my own experience right now with what I'm feeling in my body and just invite you to just have this idea of what that would feel like just to be open to letting some of that fear come up some of that protection if you're feeling like a lot of protection around your pain or a protection around your body, and that control, all of that is because there's something underneath that you're scared of. And just like piece by piece, layer by layer, we bring that awareness with compassion.

TECHNIQUE RAIN

And there's a really beautiful tool to use. It's called rain, and Tara Brock talks about it and radical compassion. That's her book radical compassion. She also wrote radical acceptance. Both are very powerful. But the radical compassion tool radical compassion book is specific to the tool called RAIN. And it's about recognizing, so the are recognizing a allow, I investigate and, and nurture. So she has such a beautiful way to explain this whole process as totally helped me recognize when I'm feeling strong emotions, I bring the rain into my practice and recognize the emotion kind of create that space first. So pausing create some space around the emotion, just allow it to be there. Like I never really understood that, but I just like, as an observer of the emotion without needing to do anything and just allowing it to be there. And sometimes even saying to myself, I am allowed to feel this way. I give myself some recognition for feeling like this, and it's okay that feel like this. And then the investigate is really just investigating what it feels like in your body. So those sensations maybe there's a temperature maybe there's a color shape, it's not necessarily cognitively thinking like trying to analyze it, it's more about like investigating in your body, what does it feel like so you can kind of get to know it a little bit more on a somatic level. Not really powerful. I know for all of you listeners that love the analyzing the thinking it out girl like me to 100% but see it like see what happens when you kind of notice it in your body, it's really interesting, and you get a lot of profound information that you might not necessarily think you would and then the last one is nurture. And this one is just nurturing yourself completely with that, that compassion and what I talked about the higher self bringing in that love and that essence and knowing that your heart center you really truly are such beauty and such love and class so much and you You truly are such a gift and any way that you can bring that into that moment and that can be really hard I struggle with the end I tell you I struggle with the end part but sometimes even imagining yourself as just as like a different being like you could even imagine yourself with a cape on and you're a superhero and you have like I don't know big K or whatever your name is on your chest and then just like give yourself your superhero gives you a big hug. I don't know I can't like I haven't mastered that one yet. And especially in like the emotions of anger or fear just like frustration or like insane anxiety. The nurturing part is can be a little bit more difficult for me to access. But I can tell you once I've moved through the are the a the I it's like I'm already in a place of like much more peace. I went from a 10 to a five and like Justin that like That's pretty profound. But if this is resonating with you, Tara Brock's radical compassion, really amazing book, I read her radical acceptance book first and then read the radical compassion, I think you could do either or it doesn't really matter, whatever your, you know, hearts calling. But the radical acceptance is really, really amazing as well. So that's it, you guys, and thank you for being here. And like I said at the beginning, there's a reason that you're here. And the reason is because you want to find happiness in a different way than the way that you've been approaching. And just your soul knows that you know that instead of finding the happiness and out things outside of yourself, and trying to fit some sort of ideal or control your body, or maybe you've even hit a point of just like, pure exhaustion from just trying so hard. And you're just so sick of fighting. That's just a sign that you're ready to find happiness within yourself, you're ready to find happiness and purpose of the way that you approach your body and finding ways that you can just find liberation in the connection. There's so much joy in the connection. When you find that in your body, when you find that in yourself and really live in that. It's like the possibilities are beyond what you can even imagine, like the Yes, like the joy and the love and it's like you've like that, that frequency of vibration that lives within you. It just grows and grows and bit by bit you feel more supported, you feel more loved, you feel more guidance, but in that in that grounding place of love. There's so much expansion, and there's so much inspiration. And like the possibilities of your life just go beyond what you thought. And that's like, that's the gift that your body is giving you right now it's saying like, yeah, there's struggle here, there's pain. But this is such a beautiful opportunity to get into that expansive place. Oh, gosh, that's where I want to leave it today. That felt really good. Thank you everyone for listening. And for being here. I don't want to be anywhere else. And please, if you haven't filled out the feedback form, it will inspire me and uplift me and then I can bring mine to the podcast really know what you all want. And just also a gift to yourself filling that form out, showing up and showing up for you know what feels good and what doesn't and trust in yourself right trust in your self because you know, you know it, it's just it might be might be deep down but it'll come out when it needs to. So thank you, everyone, for listening for being here. This is so fun. And I will see you all next week. sending love to you and your body. My name is Katie Kay, I will see you all next week.
