APPLE PODCAST | SPOTIFY | STITCHER | AMAZON
Siri Wieringa will transform your energy. Having been through a lifetime of illness and injury, Siri's personal journey has led her to helping others through wellbeing coaching. Today's episode we talk about Siri's coaching process and how she uses energy work to bring the body back into it's beautiful high functioning state. She helps identify system imbalances, understand the underlying cause of pain, to bring the body-mind-spirit back into alignment. It is all about uplifting who you are and where you are wanting to go. We talk about the specific energy work of "Human Design" and why it is so validating (and empowering) to understand how you are built, how to best care for your energy, and how to lean into your specific design to make you feel empowered. We also get into topics of breathwork, the wellbeing coaching process, Siri's personal struggles with weight loss & gain, body communication, and more.
Katie Kay
Amazing to have you. And you are this amazing wellbeing coach, and facilitate energy healing, and just open up the expansiveness of what we know about the human body and our relationship to it. And so it's a pleasure to have you here to share all of your knowledge and experiences. And I just want to start with our audience just to get to know who you are, and a little bit of your background.
Siri
Yeah, I'm so excited to be here. And I just I'm really inspired by what you are creating and helping other people and especially women to feel acknowledged in how they feel about their body and empowered and moving forward feeling good. I think all of us are helping each other to feel good and just different ways. You know, which is so amazing. Totally. Yeah, so I have a history of basically a lot of injuries and illness in my life. Um, I grew up skier and I was I grew up a ski racer, and I ended up ski racing in college. And about 11 years ago, I had a traumatic head injury. And that head injury left me very, very injured. I had to relearn how to walk and relearn how to ski and it was just a very traumatic thing. But ultimately, now looking back on it, it seems like it was a very fated thing because that healing process led me down this journey of exploring so many different ways to heal my body. And I was so grateful to have a family that was open to alternative medicine because alternative medicine ultimately is what's helped me to become back in balance, which is so amazing and I fully believe that we need all the things you know, Western medicine has its place. I was life flighted that day, like I needed the hospitals. But then after that, you know, it was it was doing acupuncture and it was doing chiropractic work and light therapy and crystal therapy and Reiki and Chinese medicine, all these things that slowly but surely helps me to come back to full functioning, which is so amazing. And so I, you know, the doctors didn't know how I would recover, they, they thought it would be two to three years and I might be okay. And they Western medicine really didn't have much to offer in my brain healing itself in my body healing itself. And so in the process of going to all these different healers and all these different types of healing, I just started to heal so much more rapidly, which was amazing. And so probably six years ago, now I basically I, I started healing that head injury and then ultimately fell in love with teaching. And I ended up relearning how to ski and became a ski coach, which was so amazing because being able to relearn something, and then teach it to others is the best way to be a teacher. And then I ended up getting my master's in teaching, which was so fun, because I just fell in love with the process of helping other people to understand how they work better, then then I ended up getting certified in energy healing. And I first started with Reiki and then a modality called Accu neck, which is a form of Body Talk in Chinese medicine. And it's been so amazing to not only use these healing modalities to help my continued healing, but to help others now to access healing that they didn't know is possible. And so I just, you know, I've lived, the power of energy work, and our bodies are made up of energy. Our body is an energetic, self healing system. And I believe that we can heal anything, we just need the right support, and the right timing for that healing to occur. And so it's been such a fun journey to now do that work for other people, and just to share everything that I've learned in that huge journey of healing.
Katie Kay
Yeah, yeah. And we were talking before we came on recording, and we were talking about how some people are so blocked off from the idea of energy healing, and it's kind of this like, woowoo spiritual thing. So I'm interested in hearing what influenced you to start looking outside of the typical medicine.
Siri
You know, I think it's sort of a lot of different reasons, I do feel blessed because my family's into that world. And my mom had seen an acupuncturist and Chinese medicine healer for a long time that addressed sort of the core issues that were going on with her health. I think a lot of times Western medicine is amazing for, for trauma and for healing, big stuff. But the cool thing about alternative work is it's really trying to get to the core issue of what's at play with that injury or illness. And a lot of times, I fully believe that a lot of our injury and illness, at its core is an emotional issue. And we our body is constantly giving us signs and signals that it's out of balance with those emotional cues. But we don't, as humans, we tend to not listen to those small cues, because we're doing okay, and we're pretty good at adapting, even if we kind of have a little knee pain here, their neck hurts a little or we're sick every once in a while we don't quite address those small things. And then over time, those things compound until it turns into something bigger, a bigger illness or a bigger injury, because the you know, it's like layers and layers of imbalance stacked on top of each other. And I think, I guess, you know, I growing up being a really sensitive person, I always thought that was a curse. But looking back on it and owning that now it's it's a really great thing because I can't, I am, you know, I can't survive. When I'm out of balance, really, I just feel like I'm gonna die. You know, whether it's, and I know, that's an extreme thing to say. But if there are those small imbalances happening, my body is just not, I have to address it. And so, alternative medicine is such a great route to go to fix those things, or to start, you know, and I think if we can start, I've always told people it's like, if we can start first by changing what we're eating, that's an amazing way to kind of see a food is what's causing that imbalance. And then to go to alternative medicine and see people who can kind of read your energy and muscle test and read your body to see what's going on. And then and then if things aren't coming into balance, then then maybe go to Western medicine and there's probably medication you need. But it's funny in this culture because we just go straight to the medication route, and it can be more harmful for the body sometimes in going that route more directly. So it's just such a nurturing way to treat our body to go those other two routes first.
Katie Kay
Yeah, I love that and I love how you talked about it's like layers and layers and it's like peeling off it like it's like an onion peeling off the layers and kind of getting into like the deeper core of what's really going on and there might be a lot of pain. There might be a lot of Emotions and just kind of things that we haven't realized. And that's also kind of a fun part of healing too is like, you get to go on this exploratory journey of like understanding yourself more. And I guess that's kind of silver lining behind our struggles a little bit.
Siri
Yeah, you know, it kind of leads me to thinking about how a lot of the time in my life I've had a lot of injuries in addition to the the big one, and in a lot of illnesses. And for most of my life, I felt like my body was betraying me, you know, and it wasn't, I didn't look at it as this fun healing journey totally. Just like yelling at my body, and so mad because I was trying to do everything. I was like, I'm eating healthy, and I'm exercising, like, what more do you want me to do? And then these pains would keep happening. Now in retrospect, and as I've gotten older, and worked through these things, I've learned that when our body is experiencing any type of pain, the pain is actually a, it symbolizes healing, it symbolizes movement in the body, and we hate pain, and we hate discomfort, you know, and so we just want to get angry at it. But really, it's just the body trying to speak. And at least for me, if I didn't have the major pains in my body that I did, growing up, I wouldn't have tried to fix those things. Because the pain is what gets us to move, and gets us to change, right. And so, it is such a blessing. It's so cool that the body does send us those signals. But it takes a long time to kind of get to that point of being like, yes, the pain is a good thing. Yeah,
Katie Kay
so true. I loved how you explained that. Because I guess I had never really thought of it like that before. But like the betrayal, and you feeling like your body, like the relationship to your body is such a betrayal. And this is our own body, like this is what we live in. And like when you're in that place, which I've totally been in that place before. And can you explain a little bit more of that portrayal? And what is that? How did you feel that and like, what what was that experience?
Siri
Yeah, I think, I think I've experienced it mostly in my life with pain, I've had a lot of knee pain in my life. And in some of that knee pain has come from being a skier my whole life, and so you just hit hard on your body. But then I've also had Lyme disease, and Lyme, for me, at least has attacked my joints. And it can be very different, it can surface very different for a lot of people. And it's interesting, because especially with Lyme, it's a very inconsistent, it's an it flares up in inconsistent ways, and it'll flare up and then they'll go away, and they'll flare up. And I always like to talk about Lyme because I think a lot of people who love to do outdoor things, a lot of people have Lyme, and they don't realize it because it is so inconsistent. And, and it's just hard because like I said, you know, if you're someone that exercises and eats well and takes good care of yourself, and then to be crippled with pain randomly just feels like what like what's going on. And really, my body was just trying to signal like, okay, there's something going on here, we need to address that. And so that, you know, through pain and things like that, I really experienced that betrayal, because I just think that we're fed this messaging that if you do xy and z, then you're healthy, and then you're fine. But we all have different, different paths with that. And then similarly, with weight gain, you know, I'm, there's a whole, I think, a way of looking at what an athlete looks like, in this world, right? And athletes are meant to be just, you know, very, they, they're meant to look a certain way, they're not meant to have a lot of body fat on them. They're meant to, you know, be lean and mean and going. And I've always been very strong, but I've never, you know, I've my weight has fluctuated my whole life, you know, and it fluctuates really, with the emotions happening in my in my life, not necessarily me changing up anything that I'm doing, eating wise or exercise wise. And so that's, you know, not having that perspective growing up. Of course, if you're a bigger person in the athletic world, then you also feel like your body's betraying you because you're like, I'm trying everything. Like what am I doing wrong? You know what I mean? Yeah,
Katie Kay
totally. I'm so glad that you're bringing all of this up. And it's like we're diving in deep right away, like no messing around. I love it. I know. I know, I love it. And whenever we are in this space of being able to share our struggles, and like sometimes it's too painful to be and you haven't healed fully and but being able to share your struggles is allows us to all really to each other and, and yeah, I think that, that mentality of doing everything right, and I can totally see that relation of like the betrayal, because I've totally been in that place as well, like trying to do everything right. Like that perfectionism mentality, I think a lot of us have been in that place in one way or the other. Because I think it is up lifted by society values are and I don't like to, like, generalize culture, but it's just kind of human nature, like we're striving, we're trying to do better, we're trying to improve. And for me, it was like, that was the problem doing everything, right. And then it's like, why, like, Why do I feel this way? That's the betrayal. I'm eating perfect. I'm exercising every day. And I feel this emptiness inside, I can't get out of bed. And then I was 18, I was kind of, like, I don't think there was really labels put on it. And I don't want to put this label as a trigger for anybody. But like bipolar, when you're like, in bed, you can't get out. And then all of a sudden, you have this snap of energy. And it's like, okay, like, now I can do it. Now I can do everything, right. And I can like go and I can exercise and feel good. It's like this false sense of control. And, and yeah, I'm just, I'm kind of reflecting on that word betrayal. Because that's like a really, really hard place to be in. And so I do think it's really important that we have the space for alternative medicine, and people like you as guides that can help just help us kind of get out of that mindset.
Siri
Yeah, I mean, I think we're, like I said before, we're really good at kind of just accepting how we are, you know, even if we're in pain, even if we're depressed, even, like, dealing with all this stuff. And I love that, when you experience an energy bouncing session, you all of a sudden, remember what your body can feel like, I mean, it's so incredible to be revived again, and, and to address those layers that your body has been so ready to shift, but it can't quite on its own, because it's just too in the muck. And to have someone else help facilitate that movement, and to help you feel better is is so great, because it helps us then to see from a different perspective, and then our energy is imbalanced. So all of this stuff that's coming at us in life that we can't control, we're we're so much more capable of handling it and, and it helps us to be kinder to ourselves when we feel better, you know, so that we can stop that negative self talk and that perfectionism. And, and then it makes me think, to have human design, which is another thing that I I became I became a human design reader a few years ago. And Human Design is such a cool thing too, because I think it's its greatest quality is that it, it's a system that helps us to understand and validate who we are and how we're built energetically because society wants us to all be the same, wants to still eat the same and, and work the same and perform the same. And we're very, very different human beings. And that acceptance and that acknowledgement that we're built differently is, is I think, what unhooks that perfectionism aspect. And learning your human design helps you in so many ways to just align with how you're built, and to be kind to yourself, because we're just not meant to do things the same way, you know, which is, so that's been a really fun other thing that's helped in my healing when you when you can accept how you are and feel validated and how you're built and actually take action and how you're built. Oh, my God, the life just starts to feel so much more downstream and not like it's fighting you, you know? Yeah.
Katie Kay
Oh, my gosh, that was you said something like very profound and important. I just want to hit on his like, that perfectionism mentality, and I loved how you brought in that if we can understand that we're all different in our own unique way. And clenches the grip that we have on perfectionism, I don't think I've ever really thought a specific tool or a specific message to really understand what perfectionism is all about. So thank you for that, because that was very profound and important. And the human design. It kind of reminds me of iron VEDA in a way because when I was, let's see Emily potrai, brought it up and the fifth episode, I believe, and then Jen Solomon came on, and she talked about it as well. And it opened my eyes to understanding, we all like have our own individuality, but then also being able to kind of put this label on it. Because like, our human brains love to have efficiency and order and having a label and being able to understand well, my Doshisha is Kapha vata, you know, trying butchering the pronunciation of those, but wanted to relate it to Ayurveda. Because I'm really interested in hearing about human design and celebrating the individual. So could you explain a little bit about that?
Siri
Yeah, and human design totally. And I, you know, I am also learning more about AI or Vedic practices, which is so cool. I think you're right, it's very similar in that it really focuses more on on what you're eating and how you're living in that way. But I think there's so many parallels with it. And I think human design is really a combination of a lot of different practices. And with that, using the Kabbalah and astrology, I mean, basically, human design takes your birth time and birth date, and according to when you were born, and where the planets were. That's how your chart is produced. And so your human design chart goes into your energy type. So how you have the energy actually functions in your body, the not self themes, so the emotions that will come up for you to signal when you're living out of alignment. So when your energy isn't flowing, your body actually tells you through emotion, and how you best make decisions and how you can listen to that and act on that. It also dives into your personality as a relates to like, why you came here so that you can really hone in on those gifts that you have that come so naturally. And yes, similar to our VEDA, it's like if, you know, I think it's interesting with human design, because and without your Aveda, because you hear the information and it's so validating, it's like, yeah, that's totally me. But I think it takes a lot of courage to then take that next step and actually live that and to actually practice that every day. And whenever I do readings for people, I, I tell them to print out the information and put it on their mirror in the morning so that they remember because we just get so cut, like society is so powerful. And our family and friends and networks, they're so powerful in like, you know, steering us in directions away from ourselves sometimes. And so helping us ourselves to remind remember that every day is so important, because when we remember it, and we actually truly live our design, like I said before, life becomes much more downstream because you're actually utilizing how you're built. And in the readings, I always I kind of do readings a little differently than most readers, I think because I in a reading, I talk about all five of the energy types, not just your own, because I think it's kind of silly to just know your own if you don't know the others, because the whole idea is that we're built a certain way for a reason. Because we all fit in the puzzle pieces for each other on our planet. And if we're living out of alignment with how we're built, then it's really doing a disservice to everyone else, because we're not aligning with who we're supposed to be. And when we're in our greatest essence and our energy is flowing, that actually helps everyone around you. And that's such good motivation for me to think about that. Because it's like I said, it takes courage to actually do that. Because it's, it'll feel out of the box for a lot of people to actually live the way that you're meant to.
Katie Kay
Totally Yeah, you're gonna be open to new perspectives and different Yeah, like that's kind of alternative medicine and holistic healing, like, it does take courage to go against mainstream. And also in a way you're going against your own minds, like your own habits, your own thought patterns and being like, okay, hold on you guys. Like let's take a break here. We're just going to look at this and try it out and just see what's here, which it takes courage to do that. And in any kind of instance, when you're creating change and, and opening up to a new way of looking at things.
Siri
I know I mean, if you think about just just how we are as a society, how we're all in school together, learning the same things and then you know, then you go to college or whatever it's and then you're just all going in living the same cities doing the same thing every day. It's like going against the grain is is tough at first because you're like, oh my gosh, what will people think of me? Oh my gosh, this is Don't do it different. But then the more you start doing that in small ways, and actually living your design, the more you realize, like, oh, that's actually not as scary as I thought and actually feels really good. And I feel so much more energized when I do those things that I meant to because sound belt, it's what I meant to do, you know? Yeah, and
Katie Kay
I want to hear more about the specifics behind human design. But first, I want to just kind of open up the space for our listeners, and take whatever resonates to that for them and kind of leave the rest. And I'm in trying to just kind of bring in these reminders that we all have a choice, right as we bring up these new tools and new mindsets. So relating it back to Ayurveda, when I first learned about it, and I read a book on it, and I was kind of just looking at the doshas, at that time, I felt more compassionate for myself, just to leave it at that just to, like, understand it. But I knew at that place, like I hadn't healed my relationship to food enough to be able to go on. Like, I don't want to say a program because it's not really a like a program, but like, where there's guidelines and how to eat and what to eat. So until I got to the point of knowing like, Okay, I'm, I have like a pretty stable foundation and my intuitive eating and I can respect my own boundaries, and I can still eat dairy if, like, the Ayurveda is telling me not to eat dairy and, and so I just started with reading the books and drinking some tea, like, that was it. And so, I've just wanted to say that for the listeners, just like, allow yourself to meet you where you are at. And then just like, take what resonates like this is fun. Like, I'm just like, this is all like fun, exciting stuff. Like we get to expand our understanding of our body, and build that new relationship about also, just make sure that you're being compassionate to yourself, and know that you always have the choice to make your own path and your own decision. So
Siri
totally. Well, yeah. And I think that's a really great point, Katie, cuz I think it is overwhelming sometimes with all the different self help things you can do for yourself. And, you know, in my healing journey, I like I said, before, I've done I feel like I've done it all. I've done acupuncture, and cranial sacral, and chiropractic work and massage and Reiki and essential oils, whatever, all of it. And at certain times of my healing process, my body lit up to those things, and I felt pulled towards those things. And people always asked me, they're like, how do I know? Who I should see, like, with energy work? You know, are you the right person for me? And I'm like, well, your body knows and your body knows the right timing for you as well. You know, I, I really think that your body gives you clues as to what the next right step is for you. And you'll, you'll think of that massage therapist, all of a sudden that you probably should go see because your body's like, oh, yeah, that person would be good for you right now. Or you'll, you'll get really excited when you're around someone or hearing this podcast, you're like, oh, my gosh, Human Design sounds so cool or interviewer sounds so cool. And that's your signal to dive in deeper. And if it ever doesn't feel good, then it's not then take a step back, drink some tea. The biggest, like the very biggest thing you can do for yourself every single day, is to create mindfulness for yourself, whether that's meditating, going on a walk, just taking some nice deep breaths, because all of those things help you to center back and listen to your body. And that's ultimately the biggest lesson is that our bodies do have the answers. Our mind just doesn't always want to listen to those answers. And so this is all fun. And it's so fun to like, know that your body will lead you to the next right thing for you, you know?
Katie Kay
Exactly. Thank you. Thank you for sharing that. And so let's get into human design. And yeah, so intrigued and I know, a while ago, we kind of talked about it. And I remember you told me what mine was and I was like, Oh my God, that's it. Like you pinned it like it's pretty incredible in the way it can like really speak to you. And and I'm glad you you show like Eric kind of explain all the different ones when you have a client come in because it's also important to know kind of what ones you're not resonating with. So it can give you a fuller picture. But yeah, maybe and like give us a little intro and yeah, what to expect if you did if somebody did come to you and want to do a coaching session.
Siri
Yeah, so I'm with human design readings. i Yeah, all I need is your your birth time and birthplace. It's so it's so cool as you say cuz it's just validating. And so we would go, you know, basically we do a foundations reading, which is all the basics of your chart, because there are, there's so I can't even speak, there's so much information that has to do with even design it goes and goes and goes. And but all of those beautiful details don't quite, they can't land within our system unless we get the basics down first, which is what you always start with foundations reading, because in that foundations reading, you learn how your energy works. And you learn to about those emotions that come up for you so that you can understand and you learn your strategy for how to navigate your energy. Because if you're not mastering that in your life, then of course, your energy is not moving, and you're not happy, and you're not, you know, utilizing all that. So of course, it's hard to utilize all the other great things about you. So, yeah, today, maybe we'll just do a little, mini little intro about all the different types. And you guys can. Yeah, and I do think the cool thing is, I think that we have all the types within us because that we have all the planets within us as well as in astrology. And so sometimes will feel more like one type than the other. But ultimately, you are one type. And that is how you care for your energy. And I think there is sort of a funny thing happening with human design recently, because it's really caught off and people are like, caught on cut off. And they're really picking up on it and, and adding a lot of what would I want to say like judgment to it, like, they hear that there are certain types and they're like, Oh, I can't believe I'm that type, or I'm just this can't possibly be rocket scientists now. And human design is not meant to be that way human design is meant to give you information that is a, it's it's meant to help you to understand how you came into this lifetime so that you can expand and evolve from there. I mean, that's the whole thing, right? And so, if if none of the information that you're hearing, if you're getting reading from someone or if you're looking at it online, if none of it is empowering to you or doesn't feel good, then step away from that. It's not for you, you know, it's all meant to be very empowering and validating. So there are five different types within Human Design and that's how you care for your energy. So the first type are what's called manifester, and these are only about eight or 9% of the population and manifest errs are here to initiate and to create new possibilities into their, their, their bodies, and their auras and their energy are designed to create change in the world. They call it a piercing aura because they just basically these people will get urges and ideas to invent new book or to start a new podcast or to start a new business. For example, JK Rowling who wrote Harry Potter is manifester. So she had this idea, and then was fueled with energy to create this whole new world book. And, and what happens is, when a manifester gets those ideas, and actually takes action with it, then they are so successful, and they create new worlds with it. But then they need to rest because their body works in urges, and then it needs to rest. And so that already is kind of goes contradictory to how we're meant to live according to society, right? Because society's, like you got to work nine to five, five days a week, and then some. And that's not necessarily in alignment for a manifester. They've got to get that rest so that new urges can come in. So that makes sense. Yeah, so interesting. Yeah. So they, and they, each of these different types has a strategy. So their strategy is to let other people know what they're doing before they do it, not for permission, but just to let us know, because we're so bad with change. beings or like, I don't, you know, we just are bad about it. And so manifestos are here to, to create change. And so we get really triggered by them. And but if they let us know what they're doing, before we do it, we're like, Okay, you go, do your thing. And it opens the door for us to know what they're doing. So we can join in and help with that new cause, you know, so that's how they work. And then the next type are called generators. And this is there's two subset of generators. But this is basically the majority of the population and generators are the worker bees of the planet. These are energy creators. These are Joy bringers. These are people that are here to go and go and go. And the cool thing about generators that they're very opposite of a manifester, in that they are like a magnet, their aura is constantly pulling in opportunities, places things, and then it's their job and their strategy to respond. To those options, because their body is built to give them an indication of what the right choices for them. So I always say, for generator, if it's not a hell yes, it's a no. And if it's, if it's a yes or generator, like, they get so excited, you know, and their whole body lights up. And if they do that thing that their bodies excited about, they then generate energy and produce energy, and they literally can go and go and go and go, it's the coolest thing. But you know, if you think about the majority of the population, I wouldn't say that the majority of the population is jumping around for joy and has all this energy. The reason for that is because they're making decisions from their head and their brain and not their body. And so that's the conditioning that generators have to work through is like, Oh, this is not the direction I thought it was gonna go in my life. This isn't necessarily a safe route that I thought, but my body's saying yes to this. And now I need to do that. And so yeah, it's so cool. That that is the karma for the majority of the population is to learn that because we are so in our head, and we're so in our stress, and so in our logical brain all the time, you know, and that takes us out of our intuition in our body. So that's the second type. And then the third type is actually a subset of the generator, that's a combination of the last two. So these are called manifesting generators. And manifesting generators are cool because they have part manifester part generator, so they have two different motors going on. So they operate just like a generator. So they're still a magnet, they've got to respond to those options that are coming in, but they also have urges of a manifester. So because of that, it's really important that they follow the urges that their generator part of themselves is behind. Because a lot of manifesting manifesting generators get kind of lost in like, they just move really quickly because they have the two motors. And so I call them the multitaskers. Because they're typically the people that have like three different jobs going on, and a million tabs open on their computer, and they're going here, they're going there. And what'll happen is, they're meant to do a lot of different things in this life, they light up for certain a job, and they'll go full on in it, and they're really good at it, and then a year or two into it, there, they no longer are lit up for it. It's a no all of a sudden, and they're like, oh my gosh, this is so sad. And, and they want to quit that job. But then people are like, You can't quit. You're such a quitter, you know, and that's the society again. But manifesting generators are here to teach us that we don't have to hang on to what's not working. And they're meant to pivot. So if you know a manifesting generator in your life, it's really important to give them permission to change their minds. Because their energy, their body is constantly going to be leading them in different paths. They're meant to live a very, off the beaten path, road. Yeah, so as you can see already, even with these three types, we all very different purposes, but very important, right? Like we need the people that can go and go, we need people that can create change. And we need the manifesting generators to kind of adapt through all of that. Right? For there are new times. And then the fourth one is they're called projectors. And projectors are really cool, because they I like to call them the new CEOs of the of the world because they are so good at being very efficient and helping things to be more efficient. They're very good at seeing people clearly. They're very empathic and sensitive humans. And basically, they're more the seers than they are the doers. So unlike the last three that we talked about, they don't have a motor. So they're really, because of that, it enables them to really focus in on seeing and rather than doing, I always give the analogy of a projector being like a little bird in a tree who can see out over a population of let's say, lions and tigers that are the generators. And the, the little bird clearly is like, Okay, I see that this lion is hunting around in circles and his praise clearly over there. So I'm, I'm gonna yell down the lion and let him know that this little bird that this phrase right here, so he yells down and, and then the lion looks up at him. And it's like every little bird, don't tell me what to do. People don't want to hear it, you know, but the bird then gets bitter. So like, I clearly have the answer for you. And so this is the issue with projectors is that there's so the information and the way they see the world is gold, like they are way ahead of most of us in life because they just see the world differently. But we're not always ready for that and amazing information. And so it's their job to wait for the invitation for people to want that information. So a better way for projector to operate would or that bird top rate would be like okay, I'm going to make an announcement to all of you on the ground floor. I can see where your prayers, so when you get hungry, come see me. And then when the lion is hungry, I'll come see the burden. And it's like, Alright, fine, tell me my prayers and the birds like, Okay, I'll tell you, it's just like this when when you know. And so it's interesting, you know, because we're mostly made up of generators on the planet. And so projector really has to do a lot of deconditioning to understand that if they stay in their lane as a seer, their life is so much more downstream, and they are just gold, there's like the best, you know, it's awesome. So, and there's one left, the last type are called reflectors, and they're only 1% of the population. So they're very rare. And reflectors are very different as well, because they are actually a lunar being. So every lunar cycle every 20 days, they're sort of morphing into a new human. And they're very, they have no defined energy center within them. So when they're around other people or in environments, they become that energy. They're very, very like the like, as empathetic as you could be. They're full on empaths. So and the reason for that is that they are here to show us where we've gone off path because if something doesn't feel good for reflector, that should tell us as a society like whoa, okay, we are, we're running off course here, we need to change something because the environment for a reflector is so important, their environment needs to feel really good. Otherwise, they they really have a hard time. It's such a what a beautiful thing that these these beings have come here to help us to live in a world that feels good. I wish there was so many more reflectors. So funny, there's only 1% of them, but
Katie Kay
reflectors reach out.
Siri
They're so important. So So yeah, so as you can see, you know, this is that was just a taste of all the different types. But the, it's so it already gives you an idea of how we're built so differently. And if we lean into how we're built, then we all help each other because we all need each other to be living in our energy. Yeah,
Katie Kay
yeah, this cohesive, the cohesiveness of it like, lately, we'll just like I feel like normally, like we all kind of feel separated. And that cohesive, that was a big thing I gained from yoga teacher training as a by the end of it being with these other 20 human beings, having such an intimate space for, you know, three months or whatever it was four months. I could see myself in each and every person, and we all kind of felt that like collectiveness beam one. And wow, like craziest power that you can ever feel, and then being able to serve others from that place, just beyond what I could ever expect to gain. And so I relate it to the human design in the same way. It's like, you have a place, you're an individual, but also you're part of the puzzle. Like you said, I love that analogy. And then also, like, while you were talking, thinking about, it also allows us to not place judgment on other people. And I think that's like a really big thing. Because I know for me, like, I understand there's deeper layers of my pain and control and trauma underneath. That's why there's certain things that I do. I was showing myself a lot of love and compassion, because I had to be in that protection mode. But like, from somebody else's point of view, it might have been like, well, Katie is just taking care of Katie, and Katie just does what Katie wants to do. From that point. When I catch myself, I judge somebody like I can't, because I it's not for me to know what their layers are. And it's not for me to judge what kind of life experiences they have had. And this like almost puts another perspective as far as where other people come from. And, you know, you get you kind of like you look at other people and you're like, Well, why don't you just like, do this? Why are you at your like nine to five, you should quit Dota podcast and do exactly what I'm doing. It's the best thing ever. And and like that's like extreme example, but it's so easy to be like, Why aren't you like me? So thank you for giving us that perspective as far as how we're all different and it's this beautiful blend, so make sense.
Siri
Yeah. And I love that you bring that up cuz the empathy piece, that's why I love it, because we, I just fully believe if we all knew about human design, it would just be such a cool tool for the whole population. No, because it does, it instantly helps you to have more empathy for who you're with, because you're like, Oh, well, they're built like that, and I'm gonna like this, you know what I mean? I mean, it's really, it's so powerful to hone in on that. Because, like, I am a lot like you, I, when I see someone, you know, acting out, or they're angry, or whatever, like, I see it as just like, oh, you know, like, things to me are either just fear based or love based, and so they're just acting out of their trauma, or they're acting out of whatever, I really believe that we all ultimately want to be in love space, but we just have been through a lot as humans, you know, and there's so many layers. And so yeah, in addition to healing the body with energy work, human design is just another way to do that healing, really, by honoring how we're built, and then honoring that other people are built differently to so awesome,
Katie Kay
like, series, you know, like, she's the, like, you can hear from just her voice and like, giggles and her joy, like, full of joy and love. So if you ever, like want to reach out to her, and she's also a coach, so like, you can book an appointment? And I'm putting that in there? Because like, it's like, yeah, if it feels really good, like, follow your intuition and like, go for it, girl, or boy, send it
Siri
Oh, go, yeah, it's
Katie Kay
a full go full on. So can you actually go into the coaching a little bit more, just as far as like, if you have like a format if somebody like showed up? Because I know, you said if somebody is in pain, or not feeling good in their body usually start with food. Is that something that you do, like, facilitate? And then you go into that energy healing? Or like, I guess, question is just like, what does that process look like?
Siri
Yeah, great question. Um, yeah, you know, I've sort of we were talking about before the recording how, for a long time, I identified as an energy healer, because I do energy work and energy healing. But it's a hard term for a lot of people because it's just, it's not what people know. And to me, it makes sense, but not to others. And what I found throughout the years doing these sessions, is that everyone needs different healing at different times. And we, because we're all built so differently, and we have a different healing path. And so in a, in a session, you know, with working with someone, or multiple sessions, I'm now really wanting, I do packages, the sessions, because healing isn't just a one time thing. And I think that's another thing that we have to really decondition because we want to just take the pill and be better, and not live through the process. And I think part of that is that we, it's that same perspective of thinking of the pain as going against us, right, it just feels so uncomfortable to go through a healing process. But what I like about this work is that it is very nurturing, and that we do get to work through those layers together. And so I, you know, I call myself a well being coach, because in any given session, I'm helping to coach you through that process of where your body's at, and to give you tools to listen to your body, so that you can understand the next right step for you. In an energy healing session, we when I first meet someone, we do an intake with what's going on for you, and a lot of people you know, it's that they're really stressed out, or they have a lot of anxiety, or they just feel like they, they need a tune up. Like they just you know, they just feel off. And, and so we throw that all into the mix, and we do an intake of what's been going on. And then and then we set an intention for how you want to feel leaving the session, because that's part of the coaching is helping you to understand that you are in charge of your healing. It's just because you go to someone, they are helping you and they're facilitating, but me as a healer, I'm not healing you, or that doctor isn't fixing you, right? It's your body that's doing it. And so I really tried to instill that in these sessions to help you take your power back to understand like, oh, right, yeah, it is my body doing this and I and I'm taking charge of my feeling better, which is really amazing. And so and then in a healing session, we utilize act and act which is a form of BodyTalk. So basically, through muscle testing, which is used in Chinese medicine, and even in pte work, where you're using the muscles in your body to kind of give you a yes or no answer. We use that to use the language of Chinese medicine. To ask the body, okay body, you got this illness going on, you got this pain, you're not sleeping, well, you're depressed, according to all that this is going on what right now is ready to shift because the body is always ready to shift something, it's peeling back those layers of the onion, and someone will come to me maybe with a broken leg. And so you would think it would all be things with the leg that would come up. But really, it's like belief systems or it was a memory when they were five, and they had also broken something else, right. And so those through act connect, we're able to access what the body knows to be true, because the body knows that record of everything that's happened to you. It's our brain that takes a little bit longer to catch up to that. And so we shift that energy using tapping and you guys can YouTube tapping, it's another really awesome modality that helps to signal to the nervous system that it's ready, that energy is ready to move. And then and then after that, then we go into Reiki, which is just such a nurturing, beautiful energy healing, where we just bounce all the chakras, and it's similar to acupuncture. In acupuncture, we put a needle in a pressure point to help disperse the energy and move the energy that's stuck in I actually do that with just light touch with my hands, which is just so amazing. It's just so powerful. And so in a healing session, that's kind of what we work through. And then over time with working with you or whoever is coming to see me, it's different every time sometimes we're doing breathwork, sometimes we're talking for most of it, because we got to talk through things that are going through for you. Sometimes we're diving into your human design, because we need to lean into those aspects when we're working through hard things in our life. And so I just pull in all the things for all these sessions, because that's the beauty of how we're built. We need it. We're all very multifaceted. Yeah, I
Katie Kay
love that. And I went to Siri for a healing session. And this was years ago. This was when I was in my nine to five job and I was feeling stuck. And same thing. Like there wasn't anything like really specific, no major pain, but I was just like, I couldn't like I was stuck, I guess like, that's the best word to describe it. And I had gone to MBSR, which was a, which is mindfulness based stress reduction. And so that was kind of like my in inlet into the more alternative, which is so crazy. As far as like mindfulness and MBSR. The scientific research now backing it up, I'm going to assume that 10 years from now, it's going to be like a mainstream way to deal with stress. It's incredible. If you ever want to talk to me about it, I will talk your ear off or message me on Instagram, but, but that was kind of my gateway into one once I like understood those profound effects, like it was insane how much my stress had decreased. Then I was like, I think it kind of opened me up to Siri okay, like the me like, just see what this energy healing is all about. And you guys I can tell you. It was like tears, like running down my face. First of all, I didn't really understand why. But I think that's also kind of the essence of what you do is like, it's not really about the understanding. It's just like, like accessing those deeper parts of the being. And it was so like you said, like, so compassionate. The do you call it Reiki? Are we really okay, Reiki? sorry if I butchered that. But like the soft touch, and, like so compassionate. I remember you giving me a message of I was on this magic carpet, and it was taking me exactly where I needed to go. And I didn't need to control anything I needed to be right where I was. And that was really needed to hear like, for me like that session, it was just like, open me up to you can't fake it when you're crying. And like, obviously, like I went in, and I was like a little uncomfortable. Like, I don't know what to expect. And yeah, and so I like how you did that whole like experience for me?
Siri
Oh, I love hearing that. It's so it's so fun to hear how, how it is for different people because it's different at different times your life too. You know, and a lot of people see me for maintenance, you know, like regularly, which is really good because the more energy is imbalanced the easier life is, you know, it's like, like you said, I think it's gonna be so mainstream soon because it's like, Duh, why wouldn't you want to just have your energy and balance because everything's easier, you know? Yeah. And then some people see me when they have major hard things going on, but regarding bliss, like you said, it just it's such a nurturing thing. And I'm so glad that you had that experience and it felt so good for you. It's yeah. And and I would I love to, like you said, that message came through for you that you were right where you're supposed to be and, and most times in the session is different every time. But yeah, it's it gives us a chance to tune into your system and for me to be a channel for what needs to come through. And I get that all the time, people are like, Oh my gosh, that was just what I needed to hear. You know, and that's, that's channeling, you know, and we're all channels for that greater magic and guidance that is here for us, whether you think that's God or universe or angels or whatever, it's a presence that's here and an information that's accessible that all of us have that gift for. And for me, it comes through usually in images or feelings. So it's just another added beautiful part of that, because we get to tap into the magic, you know, yeah, it
Katie Kay
is magic. It's insane. And you're so well suited to be a guide. And you're talking about in your own life and your own struggles. And you have you have dealt with lots of imbalances. And you said you were like sensitive to those imbalances because they throw you off. But I think like, it's actually really cool, because being a really sensitive person really allows you to tune into what other people are feeling, and their energy and, like gift them that. So even though you're like, I know, being a sensitive person, and I'm also sensitive. Yeah, like hard, it's hard. Yeah, but there's gifts and all of us and the way that we can use that as, like serving others and,
Siri
and yeah, like, and you can see, you know how both of us are using our sensitivity to now help others, which is so great. And hopefully I'll everyone can do that, right? Because we all have our own path and our own journey and our own learning. And whether it's energy healing, or human design, from my perspective, those are the things that I really resonated with as tools to help us navigate that so that we can be our best selves.
Katie Kay
If you feel like there's a part of yourself that doesn't fit in the mainstream, if you're sensitive or like anything else, I'm gonna is such a gift because it really is and like human design shows us that just listening to you, Siri and talk about we don't have to fit into the mold anymore. Like it's time to just let that go and and be in that vibration of love and compassion and the feel good. Like, what I love how you talked about that. It's like if it feels good, like go with it. But if it doesn't, like, get out of there, you know, like, there's no reason like, we have so many possibilities. Like there's no reason to hang out and not feel good area. No.
Siri
and No, we're so like, feel like our culture, especially in the US, we're just so silly about that. We're just the messaging is just constantly did like not to hate your body and to be miserable. And just to like, stick with things and to work hard, you know? And it's like, yeah, I mean, we do need to work hard, but work hard doing things you love. And yeah, and love your body doing it. Because your body's doing so much for you. You know, it's amazing. I mean, it's really incredible when you think of all that your body can do for you. And then when you learn more about your body through energy work, or through human design, and you you learn these tools, that of how your body's communicating with you. There is such a mystery to this world that I mean, there's so much that we don't know, you know, yes, amazing.
Katie Kay
We can all agree the physical body is like insane in its capacity to what it does like that. Like we could do a whole spiel on that. But yeah, I do want to talk to you about like, the communication with our body. And you brought that up a few different times is like, the body talks to us. And so how like, in what ways is it communicate to us? And are there ways that we can kind of sense like specific messages or what, what does that look like?
Siri
Well, yeah, it's different for everyone. You know, and I think and there's different types of communication, right, like there's channeling communication, which, you know, psychics are known for more specifically, but I believe we all have that capacity. And if you are channeling something here, you know that information coming in will come through in images or in feelings, or some people like well, it's like they taste or they feel like those certain messages coming through. And so that is a really cool thing to start paying Attention to message wise, you know, with other people. And then and then the body communicates obviously with the pain aspect, right and so you'll you'll get pain in your body if there's an imbalance somewhere in the body. And so that's just signaling that something needs to shift whether it's your emotions need to shift or you physically need to help your body with chiropractic work or acupuncture and usually work. And then in human design, it communicates through those emotions, those not self themes. So, manifester is will feel the emotion of anger, because if you think about manifester, is right, they're the initiators, and they have those ideas and those urges that come in. And if they don't take action with that urge, they're pumped with all of this energy all of a sudden, and that energy has to go somewhere. And all of a sudden, they're just not actually they're not doing anything with it. So it gets trapped in the body. And, and I think that manifests is the anger because they're just like, Oh, God, it's stuck, you know, but it again, it takes a lot of courage, especially as a manifester to actualize those things. generators will feel in manifesting generators will feel frustration, which, until I knew human design, I was like, Oh, my gosh, I felt frustrated so much. And it and I still do, right. But now I understand what it's telling me it's like, if I'm feeling frustrated, it's probably because I'm doing a whole lot of things that are no and not a hell yes, you know, and my, my motors not running. I'm a manifesting generator. I don't think I said that earlier. But, um, and then projectors will feel bitterness. Because again, it's that feeling of like, why aren't they listening, like I have such good information to share, you know. And then reflectors will feel disappointment, because they're here to be surprised and delighted by what the world can show them right energetically. And so when they feel disappointment, that's their signal that they need to move out of that environment or not be around those people. It's, it's so cool that those emotions will surface for you. And then, and then as you dive deeper into your human design chart, we talk about the different energy centers, and they're a lot like the chakra system, but there's two additional ones in human design. And in human design, those energy centers are either defined or undefined. So if you have an undefined center, it means that you're actually empathic to other people in that center, and what that means. So for example, there's an emotional center within human design. So there's either emotional human beings like me, which I'm bitter about. So much emotion. And then there's not emotional people. And the non emotional people are actually they're empathic to the emotions of emotional people, and they magnify it. So when I tell those people that they're not emotional, like, there's no way I'm not emotional, but it's like, and they say that because they do feel emotion so strongly, which is true. And so that's another way that we the body is communicating for us and through us, right? When we feel these different emotions, especially for a non emotional person. They're feeling the emotions of other people because their body and their soul came here to learn more about that dynamic in this lifetime. Right? And to understand that, and then when they step away from people, they're back to their cool, calm, collected nature. And that gives them that contrast. Does that make sense? Totally. Yeah. So there's just there's just so many ways to communicate with us and know things.
Katie Kay
Yeah, I'm like, totally, but also, like, I know, it's so complex, as well. So it's, it's good to have a facilitator like yourself to be able to diagnose and understand. But yeah, it's all those little things that we can just like, like label, but like also like, oh, it gives us little clues as far as like, what's happening? And are there ways to? I know, you said you're doing some breathwork workshops, like breath work or something specific that allows us just to tune into the body a little bit more to see what's happening. Yeah, that's
Siri
a really great question. I think that two of my favorite things that I love to help us get out of our head is to first thing is to ground. And by ground. I mean, it's a term that we use to help us to anchor energy to the earth because the Earth has a frequency to it, that is settling, it's very anchoring. And so when you ground it means that you, you bring your awareness and that mindfulness back to the body and back to the energy that is within your body so that you can anchor to the earth and by doing that, it instantly helps you get out of your head to your brain and into your body and it provides relief all of a sudden like Oh, prayer, okay, here I am. In the moment, again, I'm not swirling in all these thoughts. One of my favorite ways to ground is to just stand, stand tall on the ground, it helps to be barefoot, you don't have to. And just to pay attention to your feet and to feel the whole foot underneath, you know, underneath you, and to feel the weight of your body on the ground. And to really anchor into that. And then to go into feeling the weight of the earth actually supporting you. And that opposite force that's actually holding you upright, and you know, and just that simple exercise, you'll be amazed it instantly like, oh, whoa, okay, here I am. So that's really amazing. And you can you can google many different grounding exercises. But I just love that simple one. And then, yeah, and then breathwork is a whole other cool thing. And I, I'm in the process of becoming a breathwork facilitator, I'm certified now to do individual work. And this fall, I'll be doing group sessions for people, which is so great. And what I've loved about breath work is that we all know what breathing is, you know, like I said earlier, you know, identifying the energy healer has been hard because people are like, what, what is that, and they might not know what breath work is, but we know what breathing is. And we all have access to that because we all breathe all day long. And so there's many different types of breathing. There's very masculine breathing, like Wim Hof breathing the Iceman. Just like Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's a it's a whole thing. Or there's really relaxing, feminine type breathing to really calm me down. I've, I've been training with Revelation breathwork, which is a really cool type of breath work, it's all through the mouth, which is interesting, because it's, it's not necessarily an easy breathwork to go through. But what's so cool i in these sessions, we guide you with music. And it's like 30 to 40 minutes long, of mouth breathing. And it is so powerful, because that sustained type of breathing allows your own body to access those layers that we're talking about to work through those so that, you know, you can do all the things that we've been talking about that I do in these energy sessions on your own, and you can work through that with breath. And so that's a really transformative type of breathing that I love. And I'm really excited to share that with everyone. And then just on your own, I always tell people, like if you can just do three to five deep belly breaths. When you breathe from your belly, it it signals to the nervous system that it's safe to kind of shut down and to not be in fight or flight mode. And I like to set a reminders throughout the day to just do that. You could set like two to three reminders. And it's amazing how much that impacts your day. Because just taking those simple, conscious breaths, it really impacts your whole system.
Katie Kay
Yeah, yeah, belly breathing, I use that quite a bit. Now. When I was in college, and I've just started doing yoga, sticking on my belly was uncomfortable for me, being new to it, I was like, I don't even know how to do this. And so if you're new at new tube, belly breathing, like I invite you to do it, because it's really relaxing. And your belly is meant to like breathe, to expand and open and
Siri
well in like you're saying not to cut you ever been. I think it's hard to because a we're we're trained to like look a certain way and like always be sucking in our belly. But then we because of that we hold a lot of trauma in our belly. And we hold a lot of emotion there. And we pretend people gain weight in their bellies for a reason. Because that's where we're protecting ourselves, you know, and so breathing, you can do the break the deep breaths on your own to practice and then this style breathwork that I'll be facilitating is powerful in itself because it you're breathing into the belly and then the chest and then exhaling all through the mouth. And it's it's fascinating because everyone has a different threshold for how much air they can breathe into their belly at first because because of the the trauma that ensues there, because it's just uncomfortable. But the more you do it, the more your body learns to trust itself and that the belly is a gateway for us to be able to move our own energy, which is so powerful, so powerful. So cool. It's so cool.
Katie Kay
I want to also touch on like your experience with your body and weight gain and weight loss. Because you mentioned that earlier, and I think like a lot of our focus can be on weight. And I don't want to like shy away from that topic. But I would love to just if you're willing to share your story with that. Evolution and kind of like your mindset around your way, and how has that evolved?
Siri
Yeah, it's been a big thing. And I yeah, I just love that you are, you are here to help help women with this because it's a big, it's a, it's a hard thing, you know, I yeah, my whole life I've just been, you know, I'll gain weight, and then I'll lose weight, and I'll gain weight, and then I'll lose weight. And, and I wait, you know, my mom, sort of, I think she had maybe some weight issues as a as a little girl. So then when she saw me gaining weight, she kind of saw herself in me. And so then her, her reaction was to just be super critical all the time. And to and, you know, she had me in Weight Watchers, and I was like, 12, like, it's and I wasn't even, you know, I wouldn't even call myself obese, I was not big, you know. So. So from the get go, there was some some beliefs that were created around it. And, and then it's just interesting to when it's a very inconsistent thing. Because I think we all gain weight for different reasons. And for me, sometimes it's because I've, you know, I'm eating the wrong things consistently over time. But most of the time, I gain weight, because of the energy that's around me or the emotions that I'm in. So there's a great book that I love called weight loss for people who feel too much. It's by Colette Baron read, she's a she's a psychic. And she also has experienced that where her weight will just explode. And she said, when her mom passed away, she was on tour for that book, I think, which is the ironic part. And she said, she gained something like 60 pounds in a few months, it was just like, she's like, I would have had to eating a cake a day to gain that much weight. That's quick, but I wasn't doing that. So what was causing it. And so from her perspective, as sensitive humans, we, we eat to ground ourselves that the, you know, food in our bodies, I think that our intention is so powerful, and we set intentions subconsciously, sometimes with the belief systems that are running. And so you know, we call it emotional eating, but but really, it's like eating to ground, you know, and I definitely do that. And I fully believe that even if I was eating carrots, I could eat carrots all day. But if I was in a really stressed out environment, and I was really stressed that I would still gain weight, because my body's gaining weight to protect myself, that's one way that we gain weight and to like, literally to get heavier to ground to the earth. Like, it's like a survival thing. And so it's just taken a long time for me to understand that. And I'm still learning to understand what that is for me. But I think growing up, you look at other people, you know, your friends or your family, and you're like, and you're just learning, you're like, oh, okay, well eat like them. And I remember eating, just like my friends would eat, and it would, I would just balloon up and they wouldn't. And I'm like, what, and you know, part of that's genetics, part of it's whatever. But it's a it's an interesting thing. And then there's the athlete part of it right. And I think I constantly was up against that the really identifying or having a laser focus about the weight because of being an athlete, because you're not supposed to have extra weight. If you are an athlete, you know what I mean? And it's super challenging. So for all of you listening, I just want you to know that you're not alone. And that feeling good in our bodies is a process. And I think listening to podcasts like this and working with people like Katie is so helpful, because especially she is someone who gets it and gets where you're at and has so many great tools for helping you to understand how to work through those layers to get to the point where you can love yourself at any weight in whatever you're doing. And, and like I said earlier, right? If your energy is imbalanced, it's a lot easier to also love where you're at, because you just will feel better. Because especially when we gain weight, it's just you feel so crummy, and then it's just sort of this downward spiral. So that's sort of in my journey of learning with all of that. But I think, in general, I know that in my life, my body feels the best and is the the quote unquote, best if I'm addressing the stress in my life, I've always known that focusing on calories isn't how I'm going to lose weight. That's not the issue for me. And in addition to that, like sugar has always been something that I've really craved in my life. And I've noticed and you know, sugar represents the sweetness of life and so we crave things that we are needing in our in our life. So for me learning how to give myself that sweetness of love Life first and to do the self care and to say loving things to myself, I crave sugar a lot less when I'm in that zone. And so that's part of our self care that should be happening for everyone. Because otherwise we yeah, we reach out for the sugar because that instantly gives us that feeling. But then it sends us on a roller coaster of not feeling good after that wild thing to just understand the complexity of all of that. That's,

that's a really great perspective. I love that different perspective, and a lot of us have on just wait and how to approach it. And yeah, I think and thank you for your sweet, sweet words about the podcast. And yeah, 100% like, I just want to support people where they are at. And, yeah, it's not about the weight, but it is about the weight, right? It's like, it's, it's like, we don't want to shy away from the reality of life. And even if it's like, you want to look good at a certain way, that's a reason, right? That's a truth for you. And I'm not gonna like take away your own truth. And I get it, like we're living in a society that has certain ideals and expectations. And so yeah, it is like about peeling back those layers and hopefully, and you can I say, hopefully, but like you can, if you have the willingness to change and go through the motions, like you can get to a true place of self love. And I'm not ever going to pretend like I'm in a perfect place, because my journey is still always evolving. And I'm still learning, but the more I learn, and the way of setting such a compassionate journey of like, intuitive and like supporting yourself on the way, it pays off tenfold compared to like, if you're approaching it if you're dissociated from your body, or if you're trying to follow expectations that aren't aligning with who you really are. And so I do take a lot of truth from what you just said, because one, like we already know, stresses associated with weight gain and messes with the hormones in your body. And so like, influences the food that you're eating, influences your weight, but also going into that more emotional side, because oh my gosh, like, we don't really be here, okay, like emotional eating, don't emotional E, here's ways to fix emotional eating. And, like, that's kind of a term that we all know. But it goes much deeper than that. And you were talking about, like the stress and like the sweetness of life. And those are deep layers inside you and your being that you've accessed, that you can understand which influences your actions, right. And I think that's like an important thing and concept to understand. It's like, it's not necessarily about the doing, especially if you're really busy person you really overwhelmed. Like, it's not actually about the doing and like putting more on your schedule, and like restricting your food and trying to do all these new tools. It can just be opening the space for understanding like your emotions, and it's a different way. And then I'm not saying that it doesn't take work, because it does take a lot of work, but in like a different way. Yeah, yeah, well,
Siri
and I think when you understand your emotions, and you understand these patterns, and you understand how your energy works, then you just have more mindfulness around that pattern of like, when you're feeling a certain way, then you go to eat, or whatever it is, you know, it's like, you understand that correlation. And I think back at the times in my life, where I've been the quote unquote, healthiest, where I've maybe had the least amount of extra weighed on me, and I was really happy. And it was, yeah, it was where I was doing things that really lit me up as a manifesting generator. And it's where I was very, I spent a lot of time outside and I was doing things that felt really good. And there's a lot less stress in my life. And I think even if we're living, stressful lives, I think there's ways to incorporate the distressing aspects, like the grounding and the breathing and the mindfulness. And if we can do that, yeah, it just, it not only helps us once we ground and we're mindful, it's so much easier to have compassion for our body. And then and then we can and then it's easier to tackle all the other things, you know, and ultimately, we're just we're just a soul and a human suit on this planet. You know, it's like we put so much emphasis on how body looks and it's like, it's just the least interesting part about you know, there's so much more to all of us, you know, we're just, it's so funny that we put so much emphasis in that and it takes so much energy focusing on it, and restricting things to try to make our bodies so perfect. But by doing all of that restricting, you're cutting off your energy flow, and you're cutting off your body being able to function, how it does, and when we are in our energy, and our energy is in balance, and we're doing what lights us up. Yeah, our body's gonna perform so much better, too. And you're going to be able to eat so much differently, because you can, you're just in the flow, you know?
Katie Kay
Yeah, yeah. It's like the eating is secondary to like, what the root root ness of it.
Siri
Yeah. Totally.
Katie Kay
Yeah, I love how you just kind of like incorporated that full circle, like the energy and all of those tools that you mentioned, like, you can see the purpose behind and how impactful they can be. And this is an opportunity for us to learn more about ourselves. Yeah, in the journey. And like, that's the coolest, like, that's the coolest thing. So yeah, like any last, like, last words, or messages, or what I just said, if you want to, like add on to that anything at all? Or nothing at all?
Siri
Yeah. You know, this has been such a great conversation. And I hope all of you that are listening can take this information to heart if it resonates and to play around with this, these different ideas and concepts, because there is hope there is hope to feel good. And living in this world is is dense, and uncomfortable. But but it's also so beautiful. You know, we live in this dual world where there's just the beauty and the pain and and if you can accept that it's just this journey of living constantly in the beauty and the pain always. So because it gives us contrast. It unhooks that pressure to be like, Oh my gosh, I always got to feel good all the time, you know, and it's and it helps give compassion to what our body is going through being in such a wild world, you know? Yeah. And I am here to support you. Katie's here to support you. We are we're just here to help all of you to feel the best that you can feel. And it's been an honor to be here today.
Katie Kay
